Introduce the topic from the following question: What is the origin of oils and essences of different smells that can be found in supermarkets?
Plants are made up of a big number of molecules, and each one has a specific function. For example, there are certain molecules the plant uses to protect itself from predators or to attract pollinating insects. Nowadays, humankind is capable of extracting this type of compounds, such as oils and scented products, which are used in cooking and air freshening.
