How can I collect data? Soccer examples will be presented by the teacher, especially the ones related to the world soccer cup qualifying rounds, Russia 2018. The teacher may illustrate students with a leader board, or an animation on James’ performance in recent games. After presenting the information introducing the topic, the whole class is asked to discuss the following questions:
Answer: What is Colombia’s position in the qualifying rounds for world soccer cup, Russia 2018?
How many goals in favor do we have?
How many matches have we played?
What kind of teams are these statistics applied to?
Later, these and other questions can be answered with the help of statistics.
